China Cottage is an absolute favourite among our guests, with families and friends returning time and again.
It’s in an unique location tucked away in the pretty, flower-filled Cob Lane, just off Tenby’s town square. It is a perfect base for exploring Tenby and its beautiful surroundings. You are literally a minute from the cafes, shops & bars and a couple of minutes from the nearest beach!
It is spacious, bright & airy in the summer months, and with its thick stone walls, flickering stove effect fireplace, deep leather sofas and fab new shutters it is a cosy & characterful home from home in the winter.
This gorgeous cottage has been in our collection for over 20 years and it has just enjoyed a major renovation on the ground floor. We have created a stunning open plan kitchen flowing into the dining area and dropping down to the cosy lounge/living area. The 7ft farmhouse table is perfect for long lunches or dinner parties, or for sitting & chatting in the morning over a cuppa before you head out for the beaches or coastal paths.
The master double bedroom is huge with a free standing bath where you can soak by candlelight. There’s also a second double and a twin bedroom and a single bedroom, all nicely spaced out on this tardis of a first floor. The bathroom has a bath and a shower enclosure & wc, and there’s also a separate wc, which makes the Cottage perfect for larger families.
A brand new feature is the courtyard to the side, which you access through the stable door in the lounge, and where you will find a large hot tub, pretty lights and a barbecue. Enjoy some bubbles, in some bubbles, under the stars (Available from Spring 2022).

Other points to note
This really is a generously sized cottage so infants are most welcome over and above the 7 person occupancy.
There is no parking in the pretty Cob Lane, however there is room to pull up directly outside the Cottage to drop off guests and unload luggage. The nearest public parking is only a 5-minute walk across town, and with so much to do within Tenby & across its extensive beaches, many people park up the car and forget about it until it is time to depart.
Pedestrianisation – between early July and mid September Tenby town centre becomes ‘pedestrianised’ which means the town is largely closed to vehicles between 11am and 5.30pm every day. This makes for a lovely ‘cafe culture’ where it is safe to wander in the streets and dine al fresco, but it does mean that your arrival may be affected. Pembrokeshire County Council have staff at the entrance to the restricted areas, and if you explain to them that you need to unload your luggage and give the property address & proof of booking, they should let you through for this purpose alone and then you would need to park your car in one of the public car-parks. Thereafter there will be a pedestrianisation permit at the property for the other days of your stay; although bringing the car into the restricted areas is strongly discouraged during 11am & 5.30pm. Please be assured the benefits of pedestrianisation do outweigh this slight inconvenience on your first day.
Non smoking. 4pm takeover. 1 pet allowed on prior request.
