The Local Area

Tenby is a must-visit destination with Blue Flag beaches, the bustling and vibrant town centre and the iconic multicoloured houses above the harbour.

There’s plenty to discover in our little town, but here are a few of our musts:

01.

Caldey Island

In summer, boats leave regularly to visit Caldey Island, the monk-inhabited oasis just off Tenby. Enjoy a wander around the lush greenery, marvel at the spectacular sea views and see if you can spot a sunbathing seal!

02.

Boat Trip Adventures

Tenby Harbour has ample fishing opportunities, and mackerel fishing is an excellent, family-friendly pursuit. Alternatively, there are plenty of wildlife cruises that take in seals, seabirds and occasionally dolphins!

03.

Crabbing!

If you haven’t tried crabbing before, it’s a seaside rite of passage! Get your bucket, crab line and some bits of raw bacon (you heard it here first) and head to the sluice in Tenby Harbour.

04.

Dennis Cafe on The Slip

Enjoy a proper fry-up right on the beach at Dennis’ cafe. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and ice-creams, you won’t need to look anywhere else for your beach day. Catering to all dietary requirements too!

05.

Bacon Butties & Coffees

Try Ocean Milky coffees and bacon butties at Claire’s on Harbour Beach and The Stowaway Coffee Co.

06.

Our Gastropubs

Enjoy fresh, local seafood and real ales at the Hope & Anchor, or great family meals and a good night out at the Harbwr Tap & Kitchen. Truly get a flavour of Tenby with our very own beer range brewed right in town – Tenby Harbwr Brewery.

07.

Dining Experiences

Try supper at The Baytree for hearty, filling fare, or choose The Plantagenet for more refined dining. There’s cool, Mediterranean style pizza with a carafe of wine at Top Joes, or find yourself in Eastern Asia at the increasingly popular Umi. There’s an experience to suit everyone in Tenby, so get exploring!

08.

Salty's Terrace

Lunch on the terrace at the Salty’s Beach Bar & Restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Find yourself transported to sunnier climes as you dine in Spanish style, glass of wine in hand. Stunning views of South Beach with Caldey Island beyond top this experience off.
